The Gold Beach Panthers basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting Illinois Valley Cougars to 60 in the Panthers league triumph on Saturday.

The Panthers now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Illinois Valley for a 2A Valley Coast contest on Saturday, January 6. Gold Beach will battle a Cougars team coming off a 58-47 league win over Bandon (Bandon, OR). The Cougars record now stands at 9-2.

The Cougars (9-3) will now prepare for their contest against Gold Beach (Gold Beach, OR). The Panthers enter the 2A Valley Coast contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Gold Beach nudged Waldport (Waldport, OR), 50-36, in a league contest.
