The Weatherford Eagles basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the visiting Guthrie Bluejays to 36 in the Eagles non-league victory on Saturday.
The Eagles now sport a 12-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Elk City for a Western - North contest on Tuesday, January 9. Weatherford will battle a Elks team coming off a 68-48 non-league win over Hinton (Hinton, OK). The Elks record now stands at 4-7.
The Bluejays (9-1) will now prepare for their contest against Elgin (Elgin, OK). The Owls come into the 5A District 1 contest with a 3-5 record.
