The Ripley Tigers (Ripley, TN) basketball nipped the visiting Halls Tigers (Halls, TN), 56-49 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Tigers (11-5) will now prepare for their test against Gibson County (Dyer, TN). The Pioneers go into the 2A District 14 test with a 6-7 record. In their last test, Gibson County got by Milan (Milan, TN), 41-24, in a league test.
The Tigers now own a 5-12 record. They play next when they host Middleton for a 1A District 13 test on Tuesday, January 9. Halls will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 54-44 non-league loss to Bolivar Central (Bolivar, TN). The Tigers record now stands at 10-4.
