New York High School Basketball - Vernon-Verona-Sherrill thwarts Indian River

The Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Red Devils (Verona, NY) basketball knocked off the host Indian River Warriors (Philadelphia, NY), 52-43 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Red Devils (4-5) will now prepare for their test against Camden (Camden, NY). The Blue Devils go into the Section 3 Tri-Valley - Pioneer test with a 9-1 record. In their last test, Camden notched a victory over Clinton (Clinton, NY), 48-45, in a non-league test.

The Warriors now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Watertown for a Section 3 Frontier A test on Tuesday, January 9. Indian River will encounter a Cyclones squad coming off a 68-50 non-league win over General Brown (Dexter, NY). The Cyclones record now stands at 6-2.
