Kingstree Blazers (Kingstree, SC) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Manning Monarchs (Manning, SC), 51-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Kingstree upgrades its record to 8-4 on the season. The Blazers travel to Lamar (Lamar, SC) to play the Silver Foxes in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Silver Foxes go into the bout with a record of 2-10. Lamar won 44-43 in their recent non-league bout against East Clarendon (Turbeville, SC)

Next up, the Monarchs play the Aynor Blue Jackets (Aynor, SC) in a AAA Region 7 bout, on Wednesday, January 10. Manning will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record. The Blue Jackets go into the bout with a 4-11 record after their 56-30 non-league loss to Green Sea Floyds (Green Sea, SC).
