Obion County Rebels (Troy, TN) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Lake County Falcons (Tiptonville, TN), 58-45 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Obion County upgrades its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Dyersburg (Dyersburg, TN) to play the Trojans in a 3A District 13 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 9-6. Dyersburg lost 50-47 in their recent non-league bout against Ripley (Ripley, TN)

Next up, the Falcons play the South Fulton Red Devils (South Fulton, TN) in a 1A District 14 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Lake County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Red Devils come into the bout with a 5-8 record after their 60-55 non-league loss to Union City (Union City, TN).
