The Lamar County Trojans basketball team (Barnesville, GA), was overwhelmed 76-39 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Upson-Lee Knights (Thomaston, GA)

The Knights now possess a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jackson for a AAA Region 2 battle on Tuesday, January 9. Upson-Lee will confront a Red Devils team coming off a 73-35 non-league loss to Spalding (Griffin, GA). The Red Devils record now stands at 1-13.

The Trojans (2-10) will now prepare for their battle against Lake Oconee Academy (Greensboro, GA). The Titans come into the non-league battle with a 3-10 record. In their last battle, Lake Oconee Academy was overwhelmed by Greene County (Greensboro, GA), 59-44, in a league battle.
