The Lenape Indians (Medford, NJ) basketball nipped the host Montgomery Cougars (Skillman, NJ), 56-50 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Indians (8-2) will now prepare for their test against Eastern (Voorhees, NJ). The Vikings go into the Freelance test with a 10-1 record. In their last test, Eastern got by Mainland Regional (Linwood, NJ), 62-59, in a non-league test.
The Cougars now own a 7-1 record. They play next when they travel to Somerville for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 9. Montgomery will encounter a Pioneers squad coming off a 47-43 non-league loss to Nottingham (Hamilton, NJ). The Pioneers record now stands at 5-4.
