The Powers Lake/Burke Central basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting Mandaree Warriors to 34 in the non-league triumph on Saturday.
The now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host White Shield for a non-league contest on Monday, January 8. Powers Lake/Burke Central will battle a Warriors team coming off a 47-42 non-league loss to McLaughlin (McLaughlin, SD). The Warriors record now stands at 7-2.
The Warriors (0-7) will now prepare for their contest against White Shield (Roseglen, ND). The Warriors enter the B District 6 contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, White Shield was routed by Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky] (Turtle Lake, ND), 53-49, in a league contest.
