Parker Pheasants (Parker, SD) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars (Salem, SD), 48-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Parker upgrades its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Pheasants travel to Freeman (Freeman, SD) to play the Flyers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Flyers come into the bout with a record of 3-3. Freeman won 54-48 in their recent non-league bout against Bridgewater/Emery (Emery, SD)

Next up, the Fighting Cougars play the Beresford Watchdogs (Beresford, SD) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. McCook Central/Montrose will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Watchdogs come into the bout with a 2-7 record after their 76-66 non-league win over Garretson (Garretson, SD).
