Sumner Tigers (East Sullivan, ME) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Narraguagus Knights (Harrington, ME), 56-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Sumner upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Tigers host Central (East Corinth, ME) to play the Red Devils in a C North bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Red Devils go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Central lost 67-59 in their recent league bout against Dexter (Dexter, ME)

Next up, the Knights play the Jonesport-Beals Royals (Jonesport, ME) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Narraguagus will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Royals go into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 50-38 non-league win over Searsport (Searsport, ME).
