The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 12-5. Belmont won 68-53 in their recent non-league challenge against Smithville (Smithville, MS)

Next up, the Panthers play the Myrtle Hawks (Myrtle, MS) in a 1A Region 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Pine Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 2-18 record after their 76-20 league loss to Byers (Holly Springs, MS).
