Georgia High School Basketball - Vidalia thwarts Portal

January 6, 2024: Vidalia, GA 30474

The Vidalia Indians (Vidalia, GA) basketball knocked off the visiting Portal Panthers (Portal, GA), 72-58 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Indians (12-3) will now prepare for their test against Tattnall County (Reidsville, GA). The Warriors go into the AA Region 3 test with a 3-11 record.

The Panthers now own a 11-1 record. They play next when they host Savannah Classical Academy for a A D2 Region 3 test on Tuesday, January 9. Portal will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 69-41 non-league loss to The Habersham School (Savannah, GA). The Spartans record now stands at 1-9.
