Wells Wells CSD (Wells, NY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Varsity Opponent (, ), 76-26 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Wells upgrades its record to 5-6 on the season. The Wells CSD travel to Keene Central (Keene Valley, NY) to play the Beavers in a Section 7 Mountain Valley bout on Monday, January 8. The Beavers go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Keene Central won 74-40 in their recent league bout against Willsboro Central (Willsboro, NY)

Next up, the play the The Carmel School Wildcats (Ruther Glen, VA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. Varsity Opponent will attempt to upgrade on its 217-788 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 6-10 record after their 64-43 non-league win over Matoaca (Chesterfield, VA).
