Cook Hornets (Adel, GA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Berrien Rebels (Nashville, GA), 50-27 in a league bout.

With the win, Cook upgrades its record to 3-7 on the season. The Hornets host Worth County (Sylvester, GA) to play the Rams in a AA Region 1 bout on Friday, January 12. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 6-6.

Next up, the Rebels play the Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane (Fitzgerald, GA) in a AA Region 1 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Berrien will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Purple Hurricane go into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 52-44 non-league win over Wilcox County (Rochelle, GA).
