Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Carbondale Area knocked off by Mid Valley

The Mid Valley Spartans basketball team scored 39 points and held the visiting Carbondale Area Chargers to 24 in the Spartans league triumph on Saturday.
The Spartans now sport a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holy Cross for a Lackawanna 3 contest on Tuesday, January 9. Mid Valley will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 38-29 league loss to Riverside (Taylor, PA). The Crusaders record now stands at 0-5.
The Chargers (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Lakeland (Jermyn, PA). The Chiefs enter the Lackawanna 3 contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, Lakeland was defeated by Dunmore (Dunmore, PA), 55-18, in a league contest.
