Jefferson Davis County Jaguars (Bassfield, MS) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Collins Tigers (Collins, MS), 67-24 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Jefferson Davis County upgrades its record to 15-2 on the season. The Jaguars travel to Seminary (Seminary, MS) to play the Bulldogs in a 3A Region 6 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 7-12. Seminary lost 73-53 in their recent league bout against Magee (Magee, MS)

Next up, the Tigers play the Mize Bulldogs (Mize, MS) in a 2A Region 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Collins will attempt to upgrade on its 4-13 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 15-5 record after their 42-18 non-league win over Discovery Christian (Florence, MS).
