Freeman Scotties (Rockford, WA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Newport Grizzlies (Newport, WA), 74-24 in a league bout.

With the win, Freeman upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Scotties host Riverside (Chattaroy, WA) to clash with the Rams in a 1A Northeast bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Riverside lost 62-18 in their recent league bout against Medical Lake (Medical Lake, WA)

Next up, the Grizzlies clash with the Selkirk Rangers (Ione, WA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Newport will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Rangers go into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 45-28 league win over Cusick (Cusick, WA).
