Tennessee High School Basketball - Powell fells Jefferson County

Powell Panthers (Powell, TN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Jefferson County Patriots (Dandridge, TN), 49-30 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Powell upgrades its record to 9-8 on the season. The Panthers travel to Karns (Knoxville, TN) to play the Beavers in a 4A District 3 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Beavers go into the bout with a record of 5-6.
Next up, the Patriots play the Science Hill Hilltoppers (Johnson City, TN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Jefferson County will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Hilltoppers go into the bout with a 7-8 record after their 68-33 non-league win over Port Charlotte (Port Charlotte, FL).
