With the victory, River Islands improves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Riptide travel to East Union (Manteca, CA) to confront the Lancers in a challenge on Monday, January 8. The Lancers come into the challenge with a record of 3-0. East Union won 45-21 in their recent non-league challenge against Liberty (Brentwood, CA)

Next up, the Timberwolves confront the Kimball Jaguars (Tracy, CA) in a challenge, on Thursday, February 1. Sierra will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record.
