Next, the Cougars confront the West Lauderdale Knights (Collinsville, MS) in a 4A Region 4 challenge, on Monday, January 8. Newton County will attempt to move on its 12-5 season record.

The Rockets now possess a 8-8 record. They take the field next when they host Warren Central for a 6A Region 2 challenge on Wednesday, January 10. Neshoba Central will confront a Vikings team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Loyd Star (Brookhaven, MS). The Vikings record now stands at 10-4.
