California High School Basketball - Bishop Montgomery toppled by St. Anthony

St. Anthony Saints (Long Beach, CA) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Bishop Montgomery Knights (Torrance, CA), 64-56 in a league match.

With the victory, St. Anthony upgrades its record to 9-5 on the year. The Saints travel to St. Bernard (Playa del Rey, CA) to face the Vikings in a Del Rey match on Wednesday, January 8. The Vikings enter the match with a record of 13-5. St. Bernard won 66-62 in their recent league match against St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs, CA)

The Knights now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Monica for a Del Rey match on Wednesday, January 8. Bishop Montgomery will face a Mariners squad coming off a 68-29 league win over Serra (Gardena, CA). The Mariners record now stands at 14-5.
