In Monday's league contest, the host Thetford Academy Panthers basketball team scored a big 63-34 triumph over the Oxbow Olympians.
The Panthers (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Peoples Academy (Morrisville, VT). The Wolves go into the Capital contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Peoples Academy was trounced by Lake Region (Orleans, VT), 57-54, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Olympians confront the Danville Bears (Danville, VT) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 10. Oxbow will attempt to better on its 3-5 season record. The Bears go into the contest with a 6-2 record after their 70-63 non-league loss to Twinfield (Plainfield, VT).
