The Phillips Bears basketball team scored 73 points and limited the visiting Vina Red Devils to 40 in the Bears league triumph on Monday.
The Bears now possess a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to Brilliant for a 1A Area 13 game on Tuesday, January 7. Phillips will confront a Tigers team coming off a 58-44 non-league loss to Tremont (Tremont, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 1-12.
With the loss, Vina falls to 1-10 on the campaign. The Red devils host Hackleburg (Hackleburg, AL) to confront the Panthers in a 1A Area 13 game on Tuesday, January 7. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 8-4.
