The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Randolph County Tigers (Wedowee, AL) and the host Wellborn Panthers (Anniston, AL), observed Randolph County's basketball team overcome Wellborn by a margin of 57-40.

The Tigers (3-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Weaver (Weaver, AL). The Bearcats come into the 3A Area 9 challenge with a 11-9 record. In their last challenge, Weaver defeated Saks (Anniston, AL), 75-47, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Ranburne Bulldogs (Ranburne, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Wellborn will attempt to better on its 1-12 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 5-9 record after their 73-53 non-league loss to Cleburne County (Heflin, AL).
