Next, the Castle Guards clash with the Wakefield Cardinals (Wakefield, MI) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, January 7. Washburn will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Cardinals come into the test with a 2-2 record after their 67-55 non-league win over Chassell (Chassell, MI).

The Cardinals (2-8) will now prepare for their test against Butternut (Butternut, WI). The Midgets come into the Northern Lights test with a 0-5 record. In their last test, Butternut was routed by Solon Springs (Solon Springs, WI), 90-19, in a league test.
