In Monday's league contest, the host Cannon Falls Bombers basketball team scored a good 51-40 win over the Chatfield Gophers.

The Bombers (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Lourdes (Rochester, MN). The Eagles come into the AA Section 1 contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Lourdes defeated Pine Island (Pine Island, MN), 69-45, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Gophers battle the Fillmore Central Falcons (Harmony, MN) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Chatfield will attempt to better on its 6-6 season record. The Falcons come into the contest with a 7-7 record after their 60-55 league loss to Houston (Houston, MN).
