In Monday's non-league contest, the host Gibson County Pioneers basketball team scored a good 61-46 triumph over the Dresden Lions.
The Pioneers (15-3) will now prepare for their contest against Milan (Milan, TN). The Bulldogs go into the 2A District 14 contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Milan topped Madison (Jackson, TN), 42-36, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Lions battle the Bradford Red Devils (Bradford, TN) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Dresden will attempt to better on its 10-4 season record. The Red Devils go into the contest with a 4-8 record after their 66-32 non-league loss to McKenzie (McKenzie, TN).
