The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Sharpsville Blue Devils (Sharpsville, PA) and the host Farrell Steelers (Farrell, PA), observed Sharpsville's basketball team knock off Farrell by a score of 43-33.

The Blue Devils (9-2) will now prepare for their challenge against West Middlesex (West Middlesex, PA). The Big Reds come into the District 10 Region 1 challenge with a 4-7 record. In their last challenge, West Middlesex prevailed over Reynolds (Greenville, PA), 56-32, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Steelers encounter the Lakeview Sailors (Stoneboro, PA) in a District 10 Region 1 challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Farrell will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Sailors come into the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 63-31 league loss to Kennedy Catholic (Hermitage, PA).
