The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Kennedy Catholic (Hermitage, PA) and the host Lakeview Sailors (Stoneboro, PA), observed Kennedy Catholic's basketball team overwhelm Lakeview by a score of 63-31.

The (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Mercer (Mercer, PA). The Mustangs come into the District 10 Region 1 challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Mercer was routed by Wilmington (New Wilmington, PA), 63-41, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Sailors encounter the Farrell Steelers (Farrell, PA) in a District 10 Region 1 challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Lakeview will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Steelers come into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 43-33 non-league loss to Sharpsville (Sharpsville, PA).
