The Warde Mustangs basketball team scored 35 points and limited the visiting Trumbull Eagles to 34 in the Mustangs league triumph on Monday.

The Mustangs now have a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Bridgeport Central for a Fairfield County game on Friday, January 10. Warde will confront a Hilltoppers team coming off a 63-14 league loss to Stamford (Stamford, CT). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Trumbull falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Notre Dame Prep (Fairfield, CT) to confront the Lancers in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7. The Lancers go into the game with a record of 1-0.
