The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Douglas Tigers (Minden, NV) and the host Galena Grizzlies (Reno, NV), observed Douglas's basketball team knock off Galena by a score of 39-26.
The Tigers (12-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Spanish Springs (Sparks, NV). The Cougars come into the challenge with a 7-3 record. In their last challenge, Spanish Springs prevailed over Bishop Manogue (Reno, NV), 38-27, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Grizzlies encounter the Carson Senators (Carson City, NV) in a challenge, on Wednesday, January 8. Galena will attempt to improve on its 9-4 season record. The Senators come into the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 26-20 league win over Reed (Sparks, NV).
