In Monday's non-league contest, the host Cocoa Beach Minutemen basketball team scored a big 56-33 triumph over the Merritt Island Mustangs.
The Minutemen (9-1) will now prepare for their contest against Edgewood (Merritt Island, FL). The Red Wolves go into the non-league contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Edgewood smashed Brevard Christian (West Melbourne, FL), 60-33, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Mustangs confront the Titusville Terriers (Titusville, FL) in a contest, on Thursday, January 9. Merritt Island will attempt to better on its 0-7 season record. The Terriers go into the contest with a 5-5 record after their 51-46 league loss to Cocoa (Cocoa, FL).
