North Salinas Vikings (Salinas, CA) fans went home pleased Monday as they observed their basketball team knock off the host Greenfield Bruins (Greenfield, CA), 60-42 in a league challenge.

The Vikings (7-3) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Francis (Watsonville, CA). The Sharks come into the challenge with a 4-4 record.

In their next game, the Bruins encounter the Soledad Aztecs (Soledad, CA) in a challenge, on Wednesday, January 8. Greenfield will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Aztecs come into the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 69-35 non-league win over Gonzales (Gonzales, CA).
