In Monday's league contest, the St. Paul Swordsmen (Santa Fe Springs, CA) soccer team routed the visiting Verbum Dei Jesuit Eagles (Los Angeles, CA), by a tally of 6-0.
Next, the Swordsmen face the Paraclete Spirits (Lancaster, CA) in a Camino Real contest, on Wednesday, January 8. St. Paul will attempt to advance on its 5-7 season record. The Spirits enter the contest with a 1-2 record after their 5-4 league loss to Bishop Montgomery (Torrance, CA).
The Eagles (3-9) will now prepare for their contest against St. Genevieve (Panorama City, CA). The Valiants enter the Camino Real contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, St. Genevieve was overwhelmed by St. Anthony (Long Beach, CA), 3-1, in a league contest.
