Southern Columbia Area Tigers (Catawissa, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Central Columbia Bluejays (Bloomsburg, PA), 59-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Southern Columbia Area upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Tigers host Milton (Milton, PA) to clash with the Black Panthers in a Heartland II bout on Tuesday, January 11. The Black Panthers go into the bout with a record of 6-4. Milton won 63-53 in their recent non-league bout against Hughesville (Hughesville, PA)

Next up, the Bluejays clash with the Warrior Run Defenders (Turbotville, PA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 12. Central Columbia will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record.
