Pittston Patriots (Pittston, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Crestwood Comets (Mountain Top, PA), 42-28 in a league bout.
With the win, Pittston upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Patriots host Tunkhannock (Tunkhannock, PA) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 13. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 5-4.
Next up, the Comets play the Lake-Lehman Knights (Lehman, PA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 8. Crestwood will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 53-39 league win over Hanover Area (Hanover Township, PA).
