Hermon-DeKalb Central Demons (DeKalb Junction, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Hammond Central Red Devils (Hammond, NY), 68-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Hermon-DeKalb Central upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Demons travel to Norwood-Norfolk (Norwood, NY) to clash with the Flyers in a Section 10 West bout on Tuesday, January 18. The Flyers go into the bout with a record of 1-5.

Next up, the Red Devils clash with the Copenhagen Golden Knights (Copenhagen, NY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 10. Hammond Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Golden Knights go into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 52-37 league win over Thousand Islands (Clayton, NY).
