The Cougars now sport a 15-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Rankin Academy for a MAIS 5A District 2 bout on Tuesday, January 11. Simpson Academy will clash with a Patriots squad coming off a 60-24 league loss to Lamar (Meridian, MS). The Patriots record now stands at 1-4.

Next up, the Rebels clash with the Park Place Christian Academy Crusaders (Pearl, MS) in a MAIS 5A District 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 11. Leake Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Crusaders go into the bout with a 17-2 record after their 55-51 league win over Lamar (Meridian, MS).
