The Windom Eagles (Windom, MN) basketball knocked off the visiting Luverne Cardinals (Luverne, MN), 62-50 in Friday's league test.
The Eagles (3-5) will now prepare for their test against Redwood Valley (Redwood Falls, MN). The Cardinals go into the AA Section 3 test with a 9-2 record. In their last test, Redwood Valley notched a victory over Worthington (Worthington, MN), 69-55, in a non-league test.
The Cardinals now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Pipestone for a AA Section 3 test on Tuesday, January 11. Luverne will encounter a Arrows squad coming off a 58-48 non-league loss to Marshall (Marshall, MN). The Arrows record now stands at 7-2.
