The Woodside Wolverines basketball team scored 72 points and restricted the visiting Phoebus Phantoms to 58 in the Wolverines league victory on Friday.

The Wolverines now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Denbigh for a Peninsula contest on Tuesday, January 11. Woodside will battle a Patriots team coming off a 100-25 league loss to Kecoughtan (Hampton, VA). The Patriots record now stands at 2-6.

The Phantoms (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Gloucester (Gloucester, VA). The Dukes come into the Peninsula contest with a 0-8 record. In their last contest, Gloucester was defeated by Menchville (Newport News, VA), 95-24, in a league contest.
