The The Colony Cougars (The Colony, TX) basketball nipped the host Sherman Bearcats (Sherman, TX), 62-59 in Friday's league test.

The Cougars (9-10) will now prepare for their test against McKinney North (McKinney, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 5A Region II District 10 test with a 9-7 record. In their last test, McKinney North was tipped by Lovejoy (Lucas, TX), 51-39, in a league test.

The Bearcats now own a 10-10 record. They play next when they travel to Wylie East for a 5A Region II District 10 test on Tuesday, January 11. Sherman will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 60-55 league loss to Princeton (Princeton, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 10-11.
