In Friday's league outing, the Pacific Ridge Firebird (Carlsbad, CA) basketball squad edged the host Francis Parker Lancers (San Diego, CA), by a count of 47-45.
The Firebird (6-6) will now prepare for their outing against Orange Glen (Escondido, CA). The Patriots go into the Pacific outing with a 10-7 record. In their last outing, Orange Glen was tipped by Santa Fe Christian (Solana Beach, CA), 63-25, in a league outing.
The Lancers now hold a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Classical Academy for a Pacific outing on Tuesday, January 11. Francis Parker will clash with a Caimans squad coming off a 68-23 league win over Santa Fe Christian (Solana Beach, CA). The Caimans record now stands at 14-5.
