Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Spain Park Jaguars (Hoover, AL) and the visiting Gadsden City Titans (Gadsden, AL), saw Spain Park's basketball squad hold off Gadsden City by a count of 32-31.
With the victory, Spain Park upgrades its record to 10-13 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Meridian (Meridian, MS) to play the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 8. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 7-1. Meridian won 57-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Hattiesburg (Hattiesburg, MS)
Next up, the Titans play the Vestavia Hills Rebels (Vestavia Hills, AL) in a 7A Area 6 challenge, on Tuesday, January 11. Gadsden City will attempt to upgrade on its 11-8 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 19-2 record after their 49-47 league loss to Hewitt-Trussville (Trussville, AL).
