Southern Door Eagles (Brussels, WI) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Algoma Wolves (Algoma, WI), 59-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Southern Door upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Eagles host Gibraltar (Fish Creek, WI) to play the Vikings in a Packerland bout on Friday, January 13. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 2-7.

Next up, the Wolves play the Gresham Community Wildcats (Gresham, WI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Algoma will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 2-7 record after their 70-20 league loss to Bowler (Bowler, WI).
