Amanda Elzy Panthers (Greenwood, MS) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Leflore County Tigers (Itta Bena, MS), 67-44 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Amanda Elzy upgrades its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Panthers host Winona (Winona, MS) to play the Tigers in a 3A Region 3 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 1-7.
Next up, the Tigers play the Leland Cubs (Leland, MS) in a 2A Region 3 bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Leflore County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Cubs come into the bout with a 0-8 record after their 51-42 league loss to Riverside (Avon, MS).
