Mammoth Spring Bears (Mammoth Spring, AR) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Armorel Tigers (Armorel, AR), 64-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Mammoth Spring upgrades its record to 13-8 on the season. The Bears host Maynard (Maynard, AR) to play the Tigers in a 1A Region 3 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 6-7. Maynard lost 51-35 in their recent league bout against Marked Tree (Marked Tree, AR)

Next up, the Tigers play the Marked Tree Indians (Marked Tree, AR) in a 1A Region 3 bout, on Monday, January 9. Armorel will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 12-1 record after their 51-35 league win over Maynard (Maynard, AR).
