South Whidbey Falcons (Langley, WA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Bear Creek Grizzlies (Redmond, WA), 45-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, South Whidbey upgrades its record to 3-6 on the campaign. The Falcons host University Prep (Seattle, WA) to play the Pumas in a 1A Emerald Sound bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Pumas come into the bout with a record of 4-3. University Prep won 63-58 in their recent league bout against Bush (Seattle, WA)

Next up, the Grizzlies play the Overlake Owls (Redmond, WA) in a 1A Emerald Sound bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Bear Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record.
