Hampton Bulldogs (Hampton, AR) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Bearden Bears (Bearden, AR), 69-60 in a league bout.

With the win, Hampton upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Nevada (Rosston, AR) to play the Blue Jays in a 1A Region 8 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Blue Jays go into the bout with a record of 13-1. Nevada won 65-38 in their recent league bout against Strong (Strong, AR)

Next up, the Bears play the Hermitage Hermits (Hermitage, AR) in a 1A Region 8 bout, on Friday, January 13. Bearden will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Hermits go into the bout with a 1-10 record after their 75-40 league loss to Emerson (Emerson, AR).
