The Buckeye Valley Barons (Delaware, OH) basketball nipped the host Grandview Heights Bobcats (Columbus, OH), 45-43 in Saturday's league test.

The Barons (5-7) will now prepare for their test against Pleasant (Marion, OH). The Spartans go into the non-league test with a 5-4 record. In their last test, Pleasant got by Galion (Galion, OH), 68-64, in a league test.

The Bobcats now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Newark Catholic for a non-league test on Monday, January 9. Grandview Heights will encounter a Green Wave squad coming off a 49-34 league loss to Heath (Heath, OH). The Green Wave record now stands at 2-7.
